染付 微塵唐草文 Fine Arabesque

簡略化された葉っぱがたくさん散らされたこの文様は微塵（みじん）唐草という。これはその初期のものだと骨董屋の主人は言っていた。もうすこし簡略化されてないものは萩（はぎ）唐草などともいうが、それに近いかもしれない。ちょっと尻張形で、高台の径が大きい。
This kind of pattern is called Mijin Karakusa (fine arabesque), which is a design of simplified leaves. The antique shop's owner said this was an old type of Mijin Karakusa. A similar pattern of not very simplified leaves is called Hagi Karakusa (bush clover arabesque). The bottom part is wider than the top, and the foot is relatively large in size.
