猪口と鉱物あつめ

width: 9.6 cm / height: 3.0 cm 青色顔料（呉須？）で山水図が手描きされるこの小皿は、東京・有楽町の大江戸骨董市でみつけた。磁器というよりは半磁器に近く、表面の透明釉はやや白濁しマットな感じがする。見た瞬間なんともいえない温かみ、バランスの良さを感じ、店主にたずねたところ、会津本郷焼として仕入れたものだという。言われてみると、猪苗代湖の岸辺に松が生え、遠くに帆掛け船が浮かび、さらに向こうに白鳥の群れが磐梯山を背景に飛んでいるように思えてくる。小品ゆえに器の「あら」が際立たず、大げさかもしれないが、初期伊万里にも通ずる味わいを帯びているように思える。 A semi-porcelain plate that I purchased at the Oedo Antique Market, Yurakucho, Tokyo, decorated with a mat white glaze and a blue hand-written landscape picture. I saw a well-balanced warm atmosphere in it and asked the dealer about it. He said it was from the Aizu-Hongo district, Fukushima. Then, the landscape seemed to depict pine trees near Lake Inawashiro where sailboats went around, and swans flying against a background of Aizu's sky and Mount Bandai. I felt a bit of Early Imari in this local porcelain. 胎土は白いが、細かい黒い斑点が多数混入してくすんでいる。ふりものが多数見られる。　The unglazed part looks white, but is slightly darken because of inclusion of fine black grains. Top width: 48 mm / Height: 53 mm 小ぶりなのぞき猪口で、全面に麻の葉文様が描かれる。麻葉文は日本の伝統文様で、着物の柄などに多く見られるが、古伊万里では案外例が少なく、のぞき猪口はとくにめずらしいようだ。わたしも完品を見たのはこれがはじめてだ。むしろ現代の磁器製品の柄でよく見かける。 A relatively small nozoki -type cup with a hemp's leaf pattern that is a Japanese traditional design usually seen in kimono's patterns. However, the hemp-leaf pattern is rather rare in old Imari porcelains. I saw a complete hemp-leaf nozoki sold at a shop for the first time. It is more common in modern ceramic wares. 線描きのみで構成されたシンプルなデザインである。縁の裏文様も省いていて、全体にあっさりしている。　A simple design composed of blue lines. There is no decoration at the top inner surface.
