染付 槍梅文様 Ume (apricot)

いまから１５年以上前、東京・世田谷区の烏山あたりのお店でみつけた、自分にとって最初の古伊万里の器。梅の木が格子窓から見えているかのよう。リズミカルな文様がとてもかわいらしい。
当時はこんな小さな猪口に何千円も払うのが信じられなかったので、２客あったうち、高台にキズがあった安いほうを選んだが、いまになってみると、断然キズなしを買うべきであった。その後、古美術店や骨董市などをのぞくことも多くなり、バカみたいに古伊万里の器を集めるようにもなったが、いまもあるのかどうか定かではないあの烏山のアンティークショップでの出会いは、まさにビギナーズラックであった。
The first item of my Koimari collection. Ume (Japanese apricot) tree and flowers are seen through a lattice window. It has a flaw at its bottom and was a cheaper one of the two in an antique shop at Karasuyama, Tokyo. I regret why I didn't buy the better one; I couldn't understand paying some thousands yen for such a tiny ceramic cup at that time.
