松峰の黄鉄鉱 Pyrite from Matsumine

まるで現代アートの作品かなにかのようで、ひとめ見て、これほしい、と思った。シャープな立方体が複雑にかみ合わさっていて、幻想的なきもちになる。黄鉄鉱は結晶するときの環境によって、このように立方体になったり、十二面体になったり、八面体になったりする。
松峰鉱山と釈迦内鉱山とはほとんど隣り合っている。鉱床としては同じもので、ただ掘ってる会社（鉱区）が違うだけである。
It is just like a modern art. I thought just I wanted this at a glance. This is a fantastic structure of sharp cubes. Pyrite crystallizes in a cube like this, or a dodecahedron and an octahedron. Matsumine and Shakanai are neighboring mines. They were operated by different companies.
