佐山の黄銅鉱 Chalcopyrite from Sayama
秋田県北秋田市阿仁萱草 佐山鉱山（大山ヒ）

ほぼムクの黄銅鉱のかたまり。表面が一部青黒く変色しており、いわゆる「ピーコック・オア」の風合いが出ている。黄銅鉱本来の金色とのコントラストが美しい。佐山鉱山は、阿仁鉱山のすぐ南に位置する鉱山。閃亜鉛鉱の大きな結晶を産出したことで有名。
This is composed of almost pure chalcopyrite. The surface partly changes color. It is like a peacock ore. Contrast to the original golden color of chalcopyrite is nice. Sayama mine is located just south of Ani mine. Sayama is famous for having produced huge crystals of Sphalerite.
