染付 木賊文様 Scouring Rush

全面にびっしりトクサの文様がかかれた、なかなか渋い猪口である。大きさのわりに持った感じがやや重く、染付の色もくすんでいる。見込みの五弁花は、盛期のものにくらべて、いまいちバランスが悪い。18世紀末から文化・文政期あたりのものか。
This is a simple but tasteful Imari cup, covered wholly by a pattern of tokusa (scouring rush or rough horsetail). It feels heavier than expected from the size, and blue color is pale. The five-petal symbol at the bottom is highly simplified, suggesting it was made from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century.
