染付 松と四方襷文 Pine and Square Grid
江戸後期 Late Edo period
口径 width 49 mm / 高さ height 54 mm
四面に松の絵と四方襷文様が描かれる。襷文が面をまたいで斜めにつながっているように見えるあたりが、江戸のデザイン力の高さを示している。見た目がよく、形、大きさも申し分ないのぞき猪口である。見込みはやや雑な五弁花文様で、1800年前後あたりのものだろう。
Pine leaf and Shiho (Yomo) Tasuki pattern are drawn on four faces. The tasuki pattern is continuous across two faces, which implies the high level of the Edo designs. This is a nozoki cup that has nice appearance, shape and size. The rough five-petal symbol at the bottom shows that it was made around 1800.
