猪口と鉱物あつめ

秋田の鉱山跡探訪シリーズのさいごは高沢鉱山（仙北市西木町桧木内）。ここは明治〜大正に銅を掘り、戦後ふたたび開発をこころみたが発展しなかったらしい。 I visited Takasawa mine (Hinokinai, Nishiki-Machi, Senboku City, Akita), which was a small copper mine in Meiji to Taisho period. そもそもこんなマイナーな鉱山跡に行こうとおもったのは、秋田県鉱山誌（秋田県鉱山会館 2005）という本に、旧坑や「大露頭」の位置がのっている地図があって、いかにも興味深かったのと、秋田内陸縦貫鉄道の駅から近く、この路線に一回乗ってみたかったのが、その理由である。角館駅から約20分で羽後長戸呂駅に到着。そこから長戸呂集落をとおりすぎて、高沢川をさかのぼる林道をゆく。上流からパイプが何本もひかれているのは、長戸呂集落の簡易水道か。 The reasons why I visited such small mine were that there were old tunnels and "big" outcrops according to a book about mines in Akita, and that the mine was close to a railway station of Akita Nairiku Line that I wanted to ride. It takes 20 minutes from Kakunodate station to Ugo-Nagatoro. 秋田の鉱山跡探訪シリーズのつづき。荒川鉱山は江戸〜明治・大正期に栄えた銅山で、1940 年に閉山、現在は公園として、バイクやカートのレース場として利用されている。 Arakawa is an abandoned copper mine in Daisen City, Akita, that was active in Edo to Meiji and Taisho period. After closure in 1940, the site is used as a park and a race track of motorcycle. 荒川鉱山跡をたずねるには、大盛館（たいせいかん）という資料館を起点にするとよい。JR奥羽線・羽後境駅から徒歩1分にある羽後交通バスの営業所から、稲沢線に乗って15分ほどの川前（かわまえ）で下車してすぐのところにある。稲沢線の終点である角館駅前から乗っても40分ほど。ただしバス便は「土日運休」なので、休みの日は境駅からタクシー3000円か、徒歩2時間になる。なお去年の大雨の影響で荒川鉱山までの道は通行止めだったが、今月はじめからはクルマではいれるようになった。 I recommend to begin a trip to Arakawa mine from Taisei-Kan museum near the bus stop, Kawamae, to which it takes 15 minutes from Sakai bus station that is close to Ugo-Sakai rail station of JR Ou Line. It is possible to ride the same bus from Kakunodate in the opposite direction (about 40 minutes). 帰省のついでに秋田の鉱山跡をいくつかめぐってみた。まずは銅や鉛の二次鉱物で有名な亀山盛鉱山。沢沿いを歩くとズリ（廃石）の崖があらわれる。 I visited abandoned mines in Akita. First one is Kisamori known as occurrence of secondary minerals of copper and lead. A cliff of debris appears after a walk along a river. 亀山盛鉱山 Kisamori Mine カリフラワー状の水晶。 Quartz. 珪孔雀石のつぶて。 Chrysocolla. ちょっと青鉛鉱がついている。 Linarite is seen a little. 大仙市の協和ダムの脇の林道を道なりに進んだ大倉沢沿いにズリ捨場が残されている（越口沢の看板までは車ではいれる）。道は下草が多く、探訪時は晴れていたが、それまでに雨がふっていたのか、ズボンびしょぬれになった。とある情報によると、去年の大雨で、ズリの崖の下部付近が崩壊し、埋もれていた廃石があらわになったそうだ。たしかに川床から高さ 10 m くらいまでえぐれたふうになっている。というわけで、川原の石を観察してみると、緑っぽい銅の二次鉱物があちこちに落ちている。白鉛鉱のきれいな結晶とかないかな？と期待したが、わたしのスキルでは探せなかった。ともかく暑くて、アブが多くて、１時間もせず退散した（写真がボケてるのはアブのせいです）。 Debris from Kisamori mine remains nearly at the end of a road along Kyowa dam and Okura-Sawa river in Daisen City. Hantos-puszta, Bajna, Komárom-Esztergom County, Hungary （ハンガリー） 幅 width 45 mm / 重さ weight 50 g 中心部がややふくらんだ六角板状の石膏結晶が集合する。いわゆる砂漠のバラと同類のものだと思うが、透明感があって、結晶面もはっきりしている。六個ある側面のうち、とくに相対する二辺の側面だけ、より広い平らな結晶面をみせているのが特徴的である（下の図参照）。 Aggregate of tabular gypsum crystals with a bit rounded hexagonal faces. It is similar to Desert Rose, but has transparency and well-formed crystal surfaces. Two side surfaces are particularly large, as is described in a book (see next figures). From Goldschmidt, Atlas der Krystallformen vol.4. It looks like Fig. 51 or 60. ブラックライトを当てると白っぽく蛍光する。さらに光を閉ざすと、１秒くらい、やや黄色っぽく発光しつづける（これを燐光という、ムービーを参照）。 It shows pale fluorescence under a black light. 秋田県鹿角市 尾去沢鉱山 Osarizawa Mine, Kazuno City, Akita, Japan 幅 width 85 mm / 重さ weight 186 g 母岩に沿って石英の層があり、その上に 1 cm クラスの菱マンガン鉱の菱面体結晶が密生する。表面がやや白っぽいサーモンピンクで、まさに焼鮭をかるくほぐしたかのようだ。結晶に透明感はないが、サイズはなかなかのもので、尾去沢らしい標本といえる。破損した部分を接着剤で補修してある。 Many rhombohedral fairly large crystals of rhodochrosite grow on a quartz layer along a vein wall. The color is whitish salmon pink, resembling grilled salmon. This is a specimen typically (but rarely) found at Osarizawa (see another example given below). 秋田県鹿角市尾去沢鉱山 Osarizawa Mine, Kazuno City, Akita, Japan 幅 width 60 mm / 重さ weight 157 g 四面体状の黄銅鉱の集合の表面に、微小ななんらかの別の鉱物がくっついている。見る角度を変えるとキラキラ光って、キレイである。表面の鉱物には、薄茶色っぽいのと、青黒いのがある。標本店の店主によると、砒四面銅鉱かもしれない、とのこと。ともかくラメみたいにキラキラ光ってキレイだ。 Tiny unknown crystals are scattered on conglomerate of tetrahedral chalcopyrite, twinkling like stars in the dark. The shop's master said they might be tennantite.
