染付 白抜き鷺 White Egret

三羽の鷺と草花とを白磁であらわし、背景を染付で塗り込めている。このような「白抜き」で白鷺を描く意匠は、17世紀の古伊万里からしばしばみられ、定番の柄といえる。染付の色合い、縁裏や腰の文様などからして、江戸後期の作品であろう。
Three birds (egrets) and flowering plants are expressed by a blue-colored background. A design of egrets with this technique is frequently seen from the 17th-century Imari ware.
