染付 稲束と鳥 Bird and Bundled Rice

稲の根本の部分を束ねたものを、まるでプリントか、と思われるくらい、きれいに描いている。それにくらべて、鳥の絵はあんまりじょうずではない。

Bundles of rice plants are skillfully drawn like a print. However, a bird that is about to fly is not very good.

見込みには「火炎宝珠」が描かれる。このような「広東（かんとん）」形の猪口に多くみられる文様で、18世紀末に流行したようである（たとえば中島由美 編、古伊万里 蕎麦猪口・酒器1000、講談社、2001年）。

The mark at the bottom means fire and gemstone, which is seen in a cup like this (Guangdong type) and was popular in the late 18th century.
