水葵七宝繋文のぞき猪口 Monochoria Korsakowii Nozoki-type Cup

18世紀後半　Late 18th century
口径 top width 51 mm / 高台径 bottom width 37 mm / 高さ height 50 mm

白地にミズアオイの絵が伸びやかな線描きと薄ダミで描かれる。根元には水の流れがシンボリックに表現されていておもしろい。縁には七宝つなぎ文がぐるりと描かれていて、これは以前紹介した梅ののぞき猪口と似ている。おそらくつくられた時代も同じだろう。涼やかでいかにも夏らしい。

Mizu-aoi (monochoria korsakowii; a plant often seen at waterside, especially at rice farms) is drawn with blue lines and pale paints. It is interesting that water stream is symbolically expressed at the base. The design is similar to the nozoki-type cup already shown. The age will be similar too.

裏面には松の絵。長さ 18 mm ほどの大きなヒビがはいっているが、製作時の窯傷である。
Pine leaves on the back. There is an 18 mm long crack but it would occur in the production process.
