雲鶴宝物文 のぞき猪口 Crane and Treasure
ネットオークションには相変わらずのぞき猪口の贋作が出品されている。ああいう業者はわたしのような愛好家のブログやSNSなどの写真をみて似たものをどこかの工房につくらせているんではないかと勘ぐりたくなるが、じゃあ写真をのせるのをやめるというのも本末転倒である。世の中信頼を裏切る輩が出てくると、それを規制するルールが強化され、みんなが生きにくくなる。結局だれも得しない。
Fakes of old Imari nozoki-type cups are constantly sold on online auctions. Such dealers might see photos of Imari collectors (like me) freely available on the internet to make porcelain copies. If I quit showing my collection on a blog, that would be the same as doing a bad thing against a bad one. When one betrays the trust of community, there needs to be more rules and no one will be profited.
鳥と宝珠や巻物などの吉祥文が染付で描かれたのぞき猪口で、これはそば猪口などにも散見される絵柄である（たとえば「古伊万里 蕎麦猪口・酒器1000」中島由美 編、講談社、2001年）。背景の文様は雲だといわれる。この鳥は鶴のはずだが、頭でっかちで写実的とはいいがたい。全体的に絵付けが「ヘタ」だが、縁には金彩が施されていて、器としてはそれほど「下手」ではない。やや大ぶりで、18世紀ののぞき猪口の風格を残しているように思える。
Combination of cranes and treasures is not uncommon in old Imari cups. I think the bird's head is too big to be called a crane. Though the drawing is not very good, this cup itself is well formed with gold glaze at the rim having a characteristic of 18th century nozoki-type cups.
ずいぶん前に平和島骨董市で手に入れた。思っていた金額よりだいぶ安かったが、縁に小さな欠け（ノミホツという）があるからと骨董屋に言われた。言われてはじめてキズがあるとわかった。こういう業者は信頼に足る。
