フルカニの硫砒銅鉱 Enargite from Julcani

ほぼ硫砒銅鉱（Cu₃AsS₄）のみからなる小さな鉱片。独特な結晶の形がよく観察できる。日本の小坂鉱山の硫砒銅鉱は以前紹介したが、結晶の感じはよく似ている。表面が青っぽいのが奇妙だが、これは硫砒銅鉱を覆うように薄い「皮」みたいなのがくっついていて、その色だと思われる。硫砒銅鉱じたいがその場で変質したのか、なにかが外から鉱液にのってやってきて沈殿したのか。

Julcani （フルカニ）鉱山は多種類の金属を伴う鉱脈型鉱床を有していて、鉱物標本的にもおもしろいものを提供しているようである。この前紹介したヤオガンシャンの硫砒鉄鉱（FeAsS）といっしょに、ホリミネラロジーの即売会で入手した。

A small piece of copper ore composed of enargite. The crystal shape is similar to the one from the Kosaka mine in Japan, but the blue surface color is peculiar. It is probably due to a thin layer coating the enargite crystal. Acquired at a sale of Hori Mineralogy together with Yaogangxian's arsenopyrite.

硫砒銅鉱の表面を覆うように薄皮がはっている。硫砒銅鉱じたいは微妙に赤っぽい感じの色を呈している。
A skin covers the surface of enargite. Enargite's original color is a little reddish.
